Facebook…why the explosive growth

I really don’t have a clue why the recent explosion of facebook users. The funny thing is, other “real life” friends have said that they’ve noticed it too.

So far, I look at Facebook as the social network that best lets users keep in touch with their individual spheres by combining networking tools that are useful and user friendly. I personally like the mobile applications and “twitter-like” updates.

I guess I’ll put more thought into the major differences between MySpace and Facebook later; until then, I’ll continue to analyze the user growth of Facebook, particularly in demographics that I might be a part of.
